July 4th was the first time I had been out with Hannah since we started potty training. We participated in the July 4th parade in Hyde Park and went to the park afterwards. She had pull-ups on but if you have a toddler you know those aren't as absorbent as diapers. By the time we were done with the parade Hannah's pull-up was completely full and she needed to go potty. I didn't think she would actually use the toilet since it would be a big toliet and she's used to her little potty at home. ON top of that I didn't want to deal with pulling her pull-ups off and putting on a new one in the public bathroom. To my surprise, Hannah actually peed in the toilet. (She also went again later.) WOW!!! So now we have reached another milestone. And I must be alert of public restrooms else risk my child wetting her pants b/c I don't like public restrooms and cringe at the thought of going in. Side note: we are going to the Shedd Aquarium tomorrow so I'll update you on how it goes!
Here are some recent (random) pictures.
