Today we ventured to Naperville, a suburb about an hour from Hyde Park. Our destination was the Subaru dealership which had a couple potential cars we were looking for. We have debated about trading in the truck and Camry for just one car. Living in the city, I rarely drive and often one or the other is parked on the street without being driven for days on out. Silly to have 2 vechicles, right - though I must say I will miss the convenience of a car when Hannah and I want to go somewhere (hmmm..usually shopping) while Tim is at work/school. We left at 10am this morning and if the deal was right (so from the title, indeed, the deal was SUPER!) we
would be driving home with a brand new car! (Mind you we only had the Camry for 2 years, bought just months before Hannah was born!) Of course, if you are even slightly serious about buying a car you normally won't be able to leave the dealrship without one. This is what happened when we bought the Camry and traded in the Mazda MX6, without them having seen the car! Long day but we came home at 7pm with our new car, an evergreen metallic and urban gray Subaru Impreza-Outback Sport . It's AUTOMATIC (for those bumper to bumper traffice jams through downtown) with a 6-disc changer AND IPOD hookup (to make Tim's
commute to work in Indiana a bit more bearable), and lots of trunk space for trips to
Dominick's. Hannah was really excited about the new car and even wanted to drive it! Here are a few picts of her test driving it! Later on the way home in her carseat, she wanted to drive her new car.
